From global IT to own projects: Why Travanio was created

I spent nine years at GitLab, where I saw what it looks like when technology truly works together. I saw how much efficiency comes from a platform that is open to integrations and where developers do not have to deal with manual processes. I saw that you can make life easier for sales teams with simple data transfers from GitLab customer accounts directly into Salesforce, the platform they use. That contrast with the reality of many companies eventually led me to create Travanio.

Integrations as a craft

I realized that connecting systems has been part of my entire career. Earlier I built integrations for complex banking applications and systems in the travel industry. I have always enjoyed finding ways to make two different applications understand each other and exchange information accurately, securely, and without human intervention.

At GitLab I saw in practice how powerful an ecosystem can be when it is built on connected tools. That experience showed me that integrations are not just an add‑on, but a foundation of a modern company.

Why I focus on this

Many successful companies still run into a technology barrier. They have a great product, but internal processes are slow because their tools do not talk to each other. People spend hours every week moving information from an online store into accounting, or from a warehouse system into CRM, from one spreadsheet into another, or manually copying text between Google documents.

I founded Travanio to change that. My work is about taking your technology stack and turning it into one functional whole.
