From global IT to my own projects: Why Travanio was created

I spent 9 years at GitLab, where I saw what a world looks like when technology truly works together. I saw how much efficiency a platform can bring when it is open to integrations and developers do not need to handle manual processes. I saw that even sales teams can work much more simply when data from GitLab customer accounts is sent directly to Salesforce, the platform they use. That contrast with the reality of many companies eventually led me to start Travanio.

Integrations as a craft

I realized that connecting systems has accompanied my entire career. Earlier, I developed integrations for complex banking applications and systems in the travel industry. I have always enjoyed finding ways to make two different applications understand each other and exchange information accurately, securely, and without human intervention.

At GitLab, I saw in practice how powerful an ecosystem built on connected tools can be. This exact experience showed me that integrations are not just an “extra,” but a cornerstone of a modern company.

Why I focus on this

Many successful companies still run into a technology barrier. They have a great product, but their internal processes are slow because their tools do not talk to each other. People spend hours each week moving information from e-commerce to accounting or from inventory to CRM, from one spreadsheet to another, or manually copying text between Google documents.

I founded Travanio to change this. My work is about taking your technology stack and turning it into one functional whole.

The emerging AI era pushes integration possibilities to a completely new level. It is no longer just about moving data from one place to another. With AI, integrated systems can evaluate data immediately, summarize a long client email into CRM, automatically classify documents by content, or predict what should happen next.
