Why this project started
Travel has always been a big part of our lives. Over the years — traveling alone, with my partner, and later with two kids — I realised something simple: good, complete itineraries or guides are genuinely hard to find. Most guides list places, but they rarely explain how to organise your days, what’s practical on the ground, or which tools matter in the modern world. Things like which apps locals actually use, how to sort out mobile data without paying a fortune, or how transport works when you’re standing freezing in the cold. I kept wondering why no one makes this easier, so I decided to do it myself.

I’ve always enjoyed planning our trips — even if I didn’t always follow the plan perfectly. I love digging into destinations, comparing options, and figuring out how a trip can work smoothly. But I kept realising that even with all that effort, there was never one place that combined everything travellers truly need. So instead of waiting for a complete, modern, practical itinerary to show up, I decided to create it myself. That’s how Travanio began.

What we do differently
Our itineraries aren’t “Top 10 places to see”. They’re practical guides that actually help your trip make sense. Clear routes, realistic timing, bad‑weather alternatives, transport details, money traps to avoid, and modern tools that matter. They’re designed as a strong, ready‑to‑use base — something you can open and rely on without spending days Googling.

They work for organised planners and for chaotic travellers (I’m the second). The point is simple: remove stress and replace guesswork with clarity.

Our vision: truly personalised itineraries
From day one, Travanio is built with personalised itineraries in mind. Not templates, not generic variants, but a plan shaped exactly around you: how you travel, who you’re travelling with, your pace, your interests, your limits, your travel style. A trip that fits like a custom‑made pair of boots.

We’re starting with three destinations: Canary Islands, Switzerland, and Czech Republic.

What’s coming next
Our first free sample itinerary is out. More downloadable guides follow shortly:
– A complete series for the Canary Islands (perfect for winter on the northern hemisphere).
– Detailed guides for Switzerland.
– And then gradually, guides for Czechia.

And the big step: In early 2026, we’ll begin offering personalised itineraries for the Canary Islands, Switzerland, and Czechia. More destinations will be added quickly.
